The Boston Celtics are one win away from capturing their 18th NBA title after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 120-111 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday night. The Celtics closed out the first quarter on a 9-0 run and took a 67-46 lead into halftime. The Mavericks made a run in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics held on for the victory.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 34 points, followed by Jaylen Brown with 31 points. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 32 points, followed by Kristaps Porzingis with 28 points.

The Celtics will have a chance to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday night in Dallas.
