GE Renewable Energy Announces Major Expansion in Salzbergen, Germany

GE Renewable Energy announced today that it has signed a framework agreement with UKA Group, a leading provider of fertilizer and industrial solutions, for the supply of renewable energy solutions to support UKA's production facilities in the Netherlands. The agreement includes a firm order for a new 30 MW onshore wind farm in the Netherlands and a long-term service agreement for GE Renewable Energy's existing wind turbines in the country.
The new wind farm, located in the province of Flevoland, will consist of 10 GE Cypress turbines, each with a capacity of 3 MW. The turbines will be installed on 120-meter towers and are expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 25,000 Dutch households. Construction of the wind farm is scheduled to begin in 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
